Putting together puzzles is one of my very favorite things. Bryan would rather be attacked by a swarm of bees, but I think I've won over the children, especially Kevin. This was a 299 piece puzzle (turns out we were missing one), and said age 10+ on the box. He asked what that number was for and I told him the people that made this puzzle don't know about him and how smart he is. Now, he wouldn't be able to do this by himself, but I would just give him a small pile of pieces that should go together and he would do great. Katie and Hunter helped a bit, but Katie is now putting it away so we can do an easier puzzle - Tinkerbell, 100 pieces. Fine by me, a puzzle's a puzzle, I think this one even has glitter, how fabulous!

tis a sad day indeed

Kids just grow up too fast.
Today Hunter said "you". This may not be such a big deal to hear, but he used to say "woo".
"Mommy, where is wore shoe?" "No, woo are!" It was just so cute that I use it whenever I talk to Ammon, "Woo are so cute!"
This morning as he was walking inside with his beloved cousin Lexi he said "you" I don't even remember the sentence and I was shocked and made him repeat himself. Sure enough, he was pronouncing it 'correctly'. It made me sad.
Then tonight as I was combing Katie's hair while listening to Miley and Billy Ray sing about catipillers it was hard to hold back tears. I blame Marisa's latest post.
I just have to try my best to hold on to those special moments, like this afternoon... watching Kevin out the window at the top of the slide with a rope tied to a skateboard, then Daddy saying, "Hunter, go outside and play you can be Kevin's test pilot."
Ok, mabye those kind of moments will never end.

Ammon the Star
Not the most riveting footage, but I love how he's having so much fun and you can hear he has the hiccups.
I love these little mesh things. You just put a piece of food in and let them at it.
I must admit that I kept my children from baby food even when they were ready because of the mess it made. The same reason we wouldn't have spaghetti very often.

Smoked Ham
That's right we had smoked ham for dinner, it was the best!
Who knew that when we put the ham shank in the oven before church that we would be welcomed home by thick smoke. Yet after Bryan 'stopped' the problem, and all windows were open and fans were blowing, the house was not clearing up.
Hmmm? What's the problem?
The cheesy potatoes were protected from the fire, though it took about a cup of Soft Scrub to get the dish white again.

Forget spiral cut, we're having smoked ham again next year!
(Maybe we'll do it outside though)

9 years and counting...
After 7 moves, 8 cars, 11 jobs, 4 kids, 5 pets, and plenty of camping trips. Our favorite thing, is to spend time together.
Though it took me a while to admit it, Bryan is the best man I could have married. I'm glad I listened to the Lord when He told me to marry him.
We will celebrate with Oreos!!!
